Valentine's Day

My husband and I were engaged today 1985.  We didn't plan it.  Originally, we wanted to get married but his mother objected as he was still studying in university.  So we got engaged instead and the ring he sent over from Canada to Malaysia arrived on Valentine's Day.  We think it was the will of God.

Our friend, Sheida, told us about magnesium recently.  It helps with constipation and repairs nerves.  I am hoping to help our younger daughter, Emily, with her irregular bowel motions.  We bought both plain and raspberry flavoured magnesium.

After I got the diagnosis, we learned that bowel motions are very important.  You need to go regular.  In order to do that, we need to eat lots of vegetable, 60%, everyday.  You need also to drink good clean water to flush the colon.  Over all, we need to live a healthy lifestyle.  Sleep early and lead a calm and peaceful life, least stress.  Remember God always and ask Him for assisstance.

The food has to be no preservatives, no white sugar, no processed foods, no preserved foods.

Sweating is important as the toxins in our body are being discharged when we exercise.  We need to detox our bodies.  Some herbs, burdock roots, slippery elm, arugula, celantro,.. do the job.

It is very important to take supplements.  For those of us who live in areas where there is very little morning sun exposures, we need at least 20,000 IU of vitamin D.  It is a very good cancer prevention supplement and prevents metastasis.  It was recommended by both my medical and naturopathic doctors.

Essiac Tea

I am excited to find a DVD and a diet book which are supposed to help heal cancer.  I am looking forward to try the recipes.

The most challenging part of the healing journey is the diet.  We learned to avoid animal fat, bad sugar, gluten and dairy.  There are very few recipes out there for us to enjoy.  Therefore, we have limited choices left especially when we are traveling.

One of the changes in our diet is try to alkaline the body as much as possible.  We learned that cancer will not survive in an alkaline environment.  The very first thing to do, when I was first diagnosed, was to drink ESSIAC tea.  My husband actually found it on the website with one sentence which mentioned the tea.  He spent the whole night investigating.  The next morning, he told me about it and found a website selling it.  I have been drinking it until now.

The thing we learned from the tea is "It appears that essiac tea's primary actions are to remove heavy metals, detoxify the body, restore energy levels, and rebuild the immune system, all act to restore the body to a level to where it is able to better defeat the illness using it's own resources. In other words, essiac rebuilds the immune system and improves the illness-defeatingability of the body so that the body can rid itself of the illness."

The first thing I noticed, after drinking it for less than a month, was that I slept better.  My appetite had improved and bowel motions became regular.  I started to have more energy and I could sing again.
